Just joined!
I'm new to MTurk, so while I was doing my homework trying to find out as much as I can about it I came across this website.

I used to do SwagBucks and I just got burnt out from the time I invested in doing survey that 1 outta 10 seemed to pay. From April to August I made $500 but I invested a ton of time. To clarify I was overjoyed if I was able to clear $25 a week. To get an idea a great survey lasting 22mins would net me 0.65 cents is what I was used to.

Anyway I'm retired and have alotta time. I love video games and pay for my gaming thru stuff like Swagbucks and now MTurk.

I am currently awaiting approval to get my acct. activated so I can begin. In the mean time I am learning all I can about MTurk and came across a great article post titled "First 1000 HITS" and thus found this forum.

Just a quick question before I end this, just a quick question, how long does it take to get activated after signing up to MTurk. I just signed up today.

I'm not sure if there is a consensus or average time for approval, but if there is I bet @electrolyte knows!

I believe mine took ~48 hours. That was like two years ago, so I'm not certain that's exact.
