Hello to all the suspiciously friendly people who find time to greet new members. It's nice to be here. I've been out of work for some time due to my dream job being more nightmarish than I expected, so I'm hoping I can use my functionally infinite reserves of time and patience to scrape together a few dollars via mTurk. I've already been helped out a lot by the resources that exist here, and I'm sure I'll have lots of silly questions as I second-guess myself and overthink things for my first few weeks at least. With that in mind, I'm thinking maybe a proper introduction will build me a slight goodwill buffer with you guys. Instead of "that annoying guy who's asking us questions all the time," I can be "that annoying guy who made a really long introduction post before asking us questions all the time."
