I've had that argument more than a few times over the years with requestors.

Luckily most of the requestors are nice and respond back but about 15% of them stay silent. I have been doing HITS for about a year and am thankful for the work I get. But for 50 cents it's not worth the rejection. They put the HIT in the computer and have auto rejections, I always say "did you actually check my work?"

I would not put too much stress on worrying about it. its most likely a mistake due to how their system is used to weed out bots. Happened to me on a Yale study i had the other day with practically the same reasoning (i took 5 minutes instead of their 30 they expected.) They got back to me apologizing about the initial rejection and ended up reversing it due to their system.
