A vast majority of HITs that have qualifiers have an initial payout of a nickle or dime. In fact a couple days ago I did a 1 minute survey that paid $0.15 and 2 days later I see from the same requester a $25.00 hit with a possible $25.00 bonus as well as being a longitudinal task.

Bottom line you need to look for lower than $0.50 HITS in my opinion.

Try looking here for some pointers. I use hitforker and panda crazy but there are lots of different scripts like mturksuite that work just as well. Panda crazy is a must, though. You can click on the hits and "panda" them and it'll accept it for you.

don't search for only 50cent and above hits. There are a lot below that are more worth your while. Also, a lot of requestors look for certain demos and post screener hits paying a nickel or dime where you answer a few questions to qualify for higher paying hits. This is one that's the highest paying hit I ever did on mturk, but it was a screener that led to a $200 hit for 90 mins or so - it was on cybersecurity(needed to have experience and certs). There's also batch work, which literally pays pennies, but it's usually clicking a button or two, move on to the next one.
And do do all the quals that are posted on here. Or search on mturk for screener, qual, qualify, etc, with 0 as min pay - you can pick up some that way

Thanks for all the replies, they mean a lot. I'm going to get started with Panda Crazy and also search for smaller HITS, hopefully turning into larger or additional large HITS.

One more question and this one is really frustrating because I was starting to get excited about MTurk again. I went through the first page of HITS I'm not qualified for and requested quals for like 50 of them. About 20 of them literally said qualification approved instead of submitted and that it may take up to 5 minutes for the qualification to be granted. It's been almost a half hour and the HITS aren't showing up in the ones I'm qualified for, and when I go back and look at the HITS I'm not qualified for, it's still saying I don't have the qualification. I logged out and back into my account and cleared my cache and cookies and I still don't have the quals that said I was approved for. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
