This reminds me of a friend that volunteers at a place that does a thrift store / bill and food assistance. He told me that the majority of people that come in every month and try to get them to pay their bills because they "spent their money already" is staggering.

Right when adsforce's drop my internet drops
I can't figure out if it's a cable modem or router issue. Not sure how to figure out which on is the culprit. I have a strong feeling it's the router. Great, just what I needed, to spend money on a new router.

Have you rebooted both? One at a time, I'd start with the modem first and then see. You can also see if your provider will ping your box.
