Its the security code on your magnetic strip and your card number that they steal. They put in on a blank credit card.

I mean, a big enough operation you could. The last couple years, whenever I opened a new account at the bank, they were able to print the card off right at the branch. So, if you have a skimmer, and you're using someone else's credit...cost isn't much of a thought? idk, but if every bank branch has one they can't cost a fortune. The biggest difference is that the ones you get like that, don't have raised numbers, they're just flat with a magnetic stripe.

The tiny little farm-town bank I've used for years had those until this summer. I'm amazing I didn't get skimmed any time this past almost-decade.
Now they're all modern and chipped.

Actually it's not, but it's make people feel warm and fuzzy inside so that's what matters. The chip data is easier to access for hardcore hackers.
