Is it coming down the fireplace like through the opening (idk what this is called, y'know, where you put the wood in ayooo) or through the wall/ceiling?

Ours has started "sweating" above the fireplace on the ceiling but 2-3" away from the actual wall.. weirdest thing and absolutely no clue how the physics of that work it's like the ceiling is somehow sucking water out of the chimney despite there being no rain????

what kind of roof do you have? All around the chimney there is flashing. Go outside and see what it looks like. How high up is your roof? It's best to go up and inspect the flashing
