Description: The purpose of this research study is to determine how US-American adults feel, act, and think. For that reason, we will be surveying Mechanical Turk Workers and ask them to complete a brief (approximately 15 minute) questionnaire. If you are willing to participate, you will answer questions about how you feel and think about the US, read a comment about the US, write a response to that comment, and work on an anagram task. We may also ask about your background (e.g., age, race, years of education, family background). There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project, nor are there any direct benefits to you, except for a flat payment of $1. This is an entirely anonymous questionnaire, and so your responses will not be identifiable in any way. All responses are confidential, and results will be kept under lock and key. Your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw from this project at any time. This study is being conducted by a research team at the University of Pittsburgh, who can be reached via Mechanical Turk, if you have any questions.
