nope, way more, unfortunately. but I'm going to get a railpass and do the whole country via train. i've been needing some alone time :o

For me, it was about 3x the cost to take the train compared to a flight. But it included meals and that was with a sleeper room. It took 35 hours vs. a 2 hour flight, so I considered it just like a small all inclusive vacation. The regular chairs are much cheaper but, well, you have to sit in a chair the whole time and that'd suck if the ride was very long.
