when it comes to rap though (at least commercial ganster rap), hypnotize minds label (three six, etc) is the top tier.

music appreciation though

I love pop, backstreet boys, nsync, etc
really damn good, regardless of what people want to say
good songs, well produced/mixed/mastered.

Well I am no DJ but I like some things people would call questionable too. The Cardigans (best known for that song Lovefool) did a cover of Ironman that to this day I prefer to the original unrepentant.
