I hate tipping. I do, but at what is the new minimum (20% - I see in NYC 25% is standard). I think the wait staff is worth it, I just wish they would fold that into the bill (like Europe).

I've always gone 25% minimum. Then again, my mother was a waitress at various points of my childhood, and tips put food on the table.

when you pay with your card, they run the card first as the full total of the bill.
If you include a tip, they enter it right away, but your bank doesn't change the total until they process the charge, 2-5 business days later
