This is just how OCMP requesters have always been. There used to be like 20+ of them posting pretty regularly and any time quals went out it was always a disaster.

My favorite was when I would get all excited for finally catching a qual batch for some OCMP requester, only to fail it and be told that the correct answers to questions that I got wrong were the exact same answers that I put.

It's easy to forget all those endless emails from OCMP where they kept changing your qual score...and they kept coming in for days sometimes long after you completed the qual hits. One time I think I had over thirty emails over a day or so for the same batch.

As for Vicky hits, I have to say I just suddenly got the qual one day last summer. Didn't take a test or anything just one day I could do them so they're also saving worker IDs from years ago. No other reason why I could've just suddenly got it.

Like amazon and page request errors when they run the largest cloud server services in the world. Only pay for the bare minimum you can get away with without users revolting.

This isn't necessarily 100% true because of limitations of golden questions. You can only make a limited number of golden questions so if you have a worker doing a massive amount of work for you it will be likely he will encounter your golden questions several times and would notice the repeats and piece together what the golden questions are and that there are likely golden questions.

The big example I remember is when RNR used to have porn hits. With the raw number of them I was doing I learned which images were likely the golden images.

You can only make a limited number of golden questions so if you have a worker doing a massive amount of work for you it will be likely he will encounter your golden questions several times and would notice the repeats and piece together what the golden questions are and that there are likely golden questions.

All I know is if I repeatedly see pictures of hot dogs with the option to answer tofu I'm going to laugh.

Dear Member,

Recently we ran a batch for 'Which Product type is the most appropriate' and we did an analysis of individual crowd worker answers and we are not happy with the quality of the answers. We are finding far too many cases where the crowd worker has chosen an answer option that is ridiculously wrong. Following are some examples:

1. Product was Sausage & Hotdogs, image and description clearly showed that but crowd worker chose ‘Tofu’
2. Product was a wine color sweatshirt and hoodie, image and description clearly showed that (infact image showed a model wearing the sweatshirt ) but crowd worker chose ‘Wine’
3. Product was Automotive cleaning brush, image and description clearly showed that but crowd worker chose ‘Tire’

Committing ridiculous errors such as above only proves that the crowd worker is not spending enough time on each question to review the product carefully. The sad part is we have had such errors from new members and also from members who have been with us for a long time.
Incase when you are not sure what a product is , please choose N/A. But blindly choosing any option is not the way how we expect these tasks to be done. This will only bring down the trust that we have placed in you.

To mitigate the above problem we are introducing a feature to randomly check worker’s answers against out golden set while a batch is running. If a worker repeatedly falls short of the quality that is expected, we have every right to remove such worker(s) without further notice.

So please mindfully work on the tasks. We value your hard work and we want to continue collaborating with you. Please understand that this is a general message that we are sending out to all workers who were engaged in our last task.

Note I don't actually remember whether I got up to 100,000 hits for RNR. I know I did 10s of thousands of the 7 cent porn but maybe not actually 100,000.

I'm waiting for more qual hits for Vicky because people refused to work on this batch (no mention of them being broken).

I've managed to submit 2 so I'm up to about 10 cents an hour now. Although I can't get any more to load, so maybe more like 10 cents a day
