My boyfriend is a chef. He still pretends that he can't do things in the kitchen at home, sigh

I know he can cook. I know he can, and quite frankly I'm OK with him staying out of my kitchen. I like to cook, and quite frankly it would be annoying for him to be looking over my shoulder, but I am constantly irritated by the chef who pretends that he never has ideas for dinner. And above and beyond that, there's this one thing that drives me absolutely wild. This man never actually puts the garbage in the garbage can. He puts the garbage on the counter right above the garbage can. ???
