My landlords stopped by the other day with mochi (my second favorite food) and jokingly got me a durian one which I hadn't tried yet because I was working on the other one they brought which was coincidentally my favorite type

I was wondering what smelled like garbage in the fridge since I usually keep it pretty clean and realized it must be the durian mochi. I figured I'd try it because I like trying new things



I don't think I've ever wanted to un-taste anything so bad in my life

Durian has a rather distinct odor. I've never tried the fruit itself, only the candy. It wasn't that great honestly. But you could use the fruit as a weapon.

I'm usually pretty good with smelly food like natto and stuff like that, but something about durian made me go @Yuk

I'd recommend it. I've had it in mochis, cakes, and soups. Very different, but all very good.
