I lived in California for 25 years... nothing compares to how much you get taxed there. lol I welcomed the move to TX with opened arms and an open bank account.

I just got mine today too! That is so weird. The first week was Monday, then it was Tuesday and last week it was Thursday.

35+ years in California and counting...

If you live in Coastal California then you get what you pay for... beautiful ocean, awesome weather, ample job opportunities, lots to do... But I can completely understand people bailing on the state considering how expensive and crowded it's getting. Leaving somewhere like Sacramento or Riverside (which are both becoming painfully over-priced) and their scorching heat for Texas makes sense to me.
