It probably means that they put some kind of limit on how many HITs can be accepted from a batch at once or how fast that they can be accepted (total between all workers), which causes workers to get the no HITs available message even when batches are still up if a lot of people are trying to grab them at the same time.

Yeah I'm not super concerned about the money or rejection but he was being very ignorant about the whole situation. He just kept saying that the hit explained what an event and condition was...I'm like "Yes, I obviously know what they are because I did the other tasks"...same response.
