Welp..looks like we're moving.

They're raising our rent again for the 2nd time in 4 years and honestly the house isn't worth more than we pay now so it's time to move to something nicer when the difference in 1 or 200 bucks will get me a house almost twice as big with just better everything.

Damn price gougers this house being cheap was it's appeal and they're taking that away.

Yea I agree but of course the problem with that is I have no credit, I have no debt either, 2 paid off cars, always on time with bills but hey no one will sell me a house or give me a credit card because I have no credit.

Deposit $500 in a bank. Take out a $500 secured loan. Take the $500 to another bank and do the same. Take the third $500 and go to a third bank. Deposit and take a secured loan. Then, pay back the loans, over the course of 6 months to a year, using that loan for $500 to pay your first month or 2, while you save a bit and get prepared to pay the rest of the loaned money back. You will get the loans because they are secured with the deposit. You will get a better interest rate, because they are secured loans. This process will cost you the interest. That will be the cost of acquiring a solid credit profile.

There are some good ideas given about ways to start a credit history for yourself.

You can also look for mortgage brokers that would manually underwrite a mortgage if you don't want to wait for a history to build. The Dave Ramsey blog/books/site have a little guidance on that process. I found one link here https://www.daveramsey.com/blog/no-credit-score-no-home but I recall reading about it several places.
