I can't imagine sleeping with socks off, but I'm always cold and I'm sensitive to sensations so just the feel of the different parts of the bedding would bother me enough to keep me up. Socks are a consistent sensation.

I'm glad you asked this question! I am always cold too, and like to keep my socks on. My boyfriend thought this was really weird and made me feel like a weirdo......

eta: he also thought it was weird to wear pajamas or nightgown.

If it's the same pay as the Doctor or not HITs (which is very likely) then you're not missing out on much.
