I love them both, but I was telling her to play Madness Returns because it's on Steam. The first one is never on there, which makes me sad because I remember that game being a bit crazier.

Yeah, probably not. That was almost 20 years ago (fuck, I feel old). It's probably for the best, anyway. I feel like most games from that time period haven't aged gracefully at all.

Yeah, probably not. That was almost 20 years ago (fuck, I feel old). It's probably for the best, anyway. I feel like most games from that time period haven't aged gracefully at all.

Even if the gameplay didn't age well, the aesthetic was awesome and it was really creepy. I can't believe it came out so long ago though...although now that I think about it I think I downloaded it off limewire, so....

Yeah, I still have some of the little toys/figurines that they sold to promote the first game. I got them when I worked for Tower Records, which was around 2000-2001. And yes, it was very creepy. The second one didn't seem as dark and twisted to me, but I still loved it.
