Is that worldwide viewing? If it is, wonder what domestic viewing figures are. I know that I never even heard about the Superbowl in the UK until about the late 80s and I can't remember watching it until maybe 2000.

Good point, but there have been more people--on average--watching every year: the long-term trend is decidedly "up.". (If it was a stock it would be an excellent 'buy.') Plus, the label for the X-axis doesn't make any sense.
