This feels like bullshit.

a) I'm a grad student. I do not have resources to do any "make up HITs" for anyone opting on their own to return the hit for any reason. This is because there's no way to link your partial work that you return with the HIT to transfer payment. So submit your work!

You know it seems like a lot of requesters dont understand how to do stuff on Turk in general. Maybe they really dont know how to do it if you can. Or maybe they just want your data and dont give a shit about the time you wasted not getting paid.

Not to butt in but it's funny because earlier today I saw a TO response from a requester pretty much saying, "We did not think people take surveys on mechanical turk for compensation."
