Guys and ladies, I have a good idea! Requesters should put a writing task on each HIT to screen out the bots. Maybe make the writing task based on a long passage, and threaten rejection if it's not correct. Just a good idea, I think.

That'd be fine if they increase the payout for all the HITs. There are a lot of $1+ ones where the whole thing is reading a long passage and writing about it.

I will admit now that I do not use a hit catcher or any script when turking. When I read how some of you are only getting low amounts of hits and PE it makes me wonder......................

It's worth using a hit finder and a hit catcher. The vanilla site hardly shows any of the decent stuff, let alone the best stuff, and it's probably impossible to accept most of it without a script.

It can be a little overwhelming to get used to them, but it makes such a huge difference, and people are happy to answer any questions!

Yeah, bad memory checks have always annoyed me.

You start getting a feeling for when they will pop up though so you can screen shot pages. But then when one takes you by surprise
