I'm part Scottish, but bit the bullet anyway. Just bought a refurbished Dell Optiplex 3010 Desktop PC, Intel Core i5 3.1GHz, 8 GB Ram, 256 GB SSD, HDMI, WiFi, DVD-RW Windows 10 Pro Dual Monitor Support, and ETHERNET (which is critical for me in this location). $229. Not bad; should be a whole hell of a lot better than what I've got now. ... The tires on my "new" '98 Ford Explorer with tires on it as old as ... 2004, ... that will have to wait.

You're gonna like this. I've been buying those refurbished Optiplex computers for this work for the last several replacements. I think it's the best deals. You get more actual computer for the money. And it's a simple, inexpensive way to go. The only thing I don't like about this last one is Windows 10. Which seems to me like an advertising scheme...and Cortana can suck a stick and die.

The Caltech O'Doherty Lab hit was brutal. It took me 35 minutes because there was this weird screen flash during the third phase (that required full screen on my 27" monitor) and it was a black screen that would have a quick white flash when it auto-turned pages. That happened dozens of times, now I'm feeling those migraine precursors. The bonus better be amazing, I should've tossed it back. Always trust your first instinct, I guess. . But, the day picked up for me, hope it did for the rest of you as well!

Since all your extensions aren't working, and multiple browsers aren't working, I'm not sure exactly what it could be.

Is everything updated? Have you run an antivirus lately? Do you have enough harddrive space? Have you changed anything lately? Uhh, have you made an offering to the mturk gods?

Don't feel bad about asking, not being able to run scripts is a big deal, so hopefully it's an easy fix.

This comp is so outdated that it won't update most anything. So I just bought a refurbished Dell Optiplex for $229. (And, just as an aside, I've been using comps on the Web since about '92--when everything was "bulletin boards" (the only "sites" that were available were Prodigy and Compuserve)--and have never had a problem caused by a virus or malware. ... Maybe I'm just lucky. But that WAS a good suggestion, so THANK YOU!)
