I just saw a dude on TV talk about seeing the hotel they were staying at get ripped in half.

yeah it's moving across the land now. i think it'll be in Corpus for a few more hrs. putting on a helmet tomorrow though

one of the local stations here sent out one of the cute lady reporters to Corpus to report near their sea wall. poor lady stumbled for a few secs during her report. felt bad

i'm sure they get paid extra for doing those type of assignments. you'd think anyways

i would walk mine outside if it wasnt too bad but she hates even a little bit of rain. it's going to be a miserable next several days

did he show it or just talk about it? You can't trust weather people. There is no doubt that area is going to get wrecked though.

I remember during one of teh hurricanes here the weather lady was set up at the exit of two building so she was getting the channeling effect of the wind. She was telling how hellacious it was and much too dangerous to be out and behind her there were couples walking along the beach and some young 20 something dudes wading in the water and throwing shells into the oncoming waves.

I think its the other way around. The reporters with the most influence gets to pick which beach they will be assigned to and they try to pick the landfall spot. But its hard to pick landfall so the young guns often luck out and end up where its hitting hardest. Thats like scoring a touchdown in a super bowl for them as long as the superstars like Cantori doesn't bail on his chosen spots and bumps you from yours.

No, he was near the beach, which I'm assuming isn't near the hotel, but I did see something fly behind him that looked like it would kill him if it hit him.

I feel sort of weird sitting here eating cake and counting kernels on cobs of corn. the air is still and a little hot.

boston cream pie cake with cherries on top. it was on clearance. usually they have loaves of bread on clearance so I was happy to find this.
