It does make it even tougher in these areas where min wage is getting up there a bit. The new min wage in Oregon is now $11.25. Just at 8 hours of min wage here is $90 and it seems that a lot of folks are putting in more then 8 hours of sitting on this site trying to make money even if we've already spent 8 hours working at the same time. It's tough to see this getting any higher than min wage for the most part. Especially as we get closer to a $15 min wage. But I remain a Turkin Fool

Wow $11.25 minimum wage, that's up there. It's low where I'm located. Even then I'd prefer working on here because there are day's where I will hit my goal doing a $30+ per hour job right at the start and can call it quits for the rest of the day. At most minimum wage jobs you have to work nonstop all day, have to deal with managers, deal with people, and you don't get to make your own schedule.

Downtime can be spent doing things like learning a new language or new skill.
