Because I know if I talk to my manager she'll get the district manager involved and she will make my last two weeks or whatever a living hell. And I'd feel weird about giving notice to a job I only worked two months. But I'd be screwing them over big time if I just left.
From someone who has work in multiple workplace settings... small business, corporate, academic, self-employed... You owe them nothing. Give them 2 weeks notice. If they attempt to retaliate by making your final 2 weeks a living hell then you either endure it while knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel... or you just tell them to fuck off (without actually saying it) by wrapping up your work with them in whatever way that you see fit.

You owe them no explanation and you should not feel bad in the least by leaving after 2 months. I've seen people leave after 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year.... and you know what? Life goes on. They'll replace you if they need to... so if you need to leave, then leave, and don't ever feel bad and don't look back.

Just when I thought I was out....

I wasn't planning to Turk today but I just realized I am currently 111 HITs away from reaching 2,000. Needless to say, I see a lot of pennies in my near future.

How about you? What's your next milestone?

I had that qual too.

I don't remember doing anything, it's all mushed together.

I left HM on when I left the house like 2 hours ago and as I was in the midst of grocery shopping I get a text telling me mountains dropped. How lame!

Well, I'm really regretting taking the full time job I was so looking forward to. I should have just gotten a tattoo instead of going to the interview that day (I was partially considering that). I was way less stressed out doing mturk every day and my daughter isn't so fond of daycare either. I figured such a small company wouldn't push me to the side and/or treat me like crap. The reason they hired me was because they wanted me to be assistant manager, and mentioned that several times, but now haven't breathed a word of it in probably a month. And I don't even think I'd want to be assistant manager anymore because the district manager is a terrible bitch!

Anyway, I don't know how to even go about quitting. I'm the only other full time person there besides the store manager. I'm the type of person who just likes to not show up to a job ever again to avoid confrontation. Because I know if I talk to my manager she'll get the district manager involved and she will make my last two weeks or whatever a living hell. And I'd feel weird about giving notice to a job I only worked two months. But I'd be screwing them over big time if I just left. Ugh. I don't know what to do. Sorry for the quick OT rant!

Is anyone else doing these? They seem ridiculously easy and I'm feeling paranoid about doing a bunch of them.

Well, the time has come. Time to start taking down my pool :( I'm going for a last swim tonight then will start the process of draining it. I'll have it broken down and put away either this weekend or next. The weather looks like it will be too cool for the forseeable future to swim, and it's almost October, so it's time to say a temporary goodbye to my new friend.
