Well, I'm really regretting taking the full time job I was so looking forward to. I should have just gotten a tattoo instead of going to the interview that day (I was partially considering that). I was way less stressed out doing mturk every day and my daughter isn't so fond of daycare either. I figured such a small company wouldn't push me to the side and/or treat me like crap. The reason they hired me was because they wanted me to be assistant manager, and mentioned that several times, but now haven't breathed a word of it in probably a month. And I don't even think I'd want to be assistant manager anymore because the district manager is a terrible bitch!

Anyway, I don't know how to even go about quitting. I'm the only other full time person there besides the store manager. I'm the type of person who just likes to not show up to a job ever again to avoid confrontation. Because I know if I talk to my manager she'll get the district manager involved and she will make my last two weeks or whatever a living hell. And I'd feel weird about giving notice to a job I only worked two months. But I'd be screwing them over big time if I just left. Ugh. I don't know what to do. Sorry for the quick OT rant!

Srs if you were making enough on turk then give your two weeks and be done with it.

It only hurts you the longer you stay.

They wouldn't think twice about letting you go if they needed to, so you should do what you need to do!

My own OT:
My husband is downstairs giving one of our international students a talking-to about poor communication/ride requests at short notice/staying at school all night etc and I am hiding in bed because I am a coward who is not ready to parent a teenager

I spent a few months agonizing over this same kind of situation (I was there a bit longer, but still under a year).

When I went to put in my 2 weeks, they just let me walk.

Tends to be that places that treat you like shit, even small businesses, view you as replaceable anyway.

Take a big deep breath. Now exhale. Do that a few more times and then tell yourself you've got this. You have every right to work in an environment that is good for you and this job unfortunately isn't a good fit. It won't benefit you or the company. This is job is inevitably going to end at some point so rather than wait go ahead and move on if it's at all feasible. You are only going to be more miserable the longer you stay. Better things are on the horizon but if you are too busy and bogged down to see them you may miss them. Hoping the best for you!
