That is an amazing song and video. I cried watching it. You keep talking about yourself and bringing hope and love and encouragement to those who need it!

Last year my best friend lost a breast. She just completed her last reconstruction surgery two weeks ago, and now only needs the tattoo to add the color. She has endured so many surgeries over the last year. I cannot tell you how many pictures she texted me before her first reconstruction surgery while she was frustrated as she was trying to get dressed in the morning and "balance" things. I am so privileged that I got to stand next to her and be support as she went through these procedures. (Along with her husband, who was the very best support.)

and soon she and I will get other matching tattoos that basically say "fuck cancer." (I know the video was about more than cancer, but those parts hit home for me due to what my bff just went through. I've known her since we were 10, and we are now 48, so she's like my "person/platonic soul mate.")

You're sweet as always. I haven't yet opted in for the reconstruction thing. I hope that a other women will realize that that's OK, and yeah, fuck cancer.
