Is there a book thread? It would be kind of cool to do a MTC book club.
I highly recommend Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. The Staniforth translation feels like it captures the mood and intent of the author best... but the Hays translation is probably more accessible. There's also The Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa, another fantastic read.

so I'm super not going to humiliate myself and post weekly earnings tomorrow.

I think you shouldn't worry about this sort of thing very much if at all. Stop comparing yourself to other people. Except for the mom stuff, that's valid.
