Most likely the queue sync and accepting HITs with something else like HC/PC. It has to open the HITs (not just read data from the queue, just once though) for HITs that weren't accepted by it so depending on how many are in your queue and how many requests you're making it can cause PREs.that's been happening to me for a week even when I have pretty much nothing running. i haven't had time to ask about it.

How many and how frequent? Like just one or two here and there or a bunch?
I will never truly understand how PRE's work. Sometimes I will have three or four PANDAs, HF and a watcher running and have no PRE's but other times I will have one PANDA and nothing else going and get PRE after PRE. I have been pretty good lately about not getting too many, but sometimes it will get temperamental and load them up.
Lemme go look..but I hardly worked last week (weekly PE like $45..) and i would be playing my switch and it would be racking up 60-70 PRes in like 15 minutes with 2 catchers on
