I hate Comcast with a passion. They are the only place for reliable internet around here, so if Amazon ever starts offering reliable internet I for one will welcome our new overlords.

All of the cable/Internet companies make it that way. They actually meet up and decide on areas where one company will be and where the other company will be so that we pretty much have no choice in the matter.

Yes the only one with high speeds where I am at as well, around $100 for 200Mbps wifi with a full cord cut. So yes more in the game means lower prices, and Amazon is great at that and with this they will be, can't be soon enough.

I know. It's the most infuriating thing. I am lucky that we have an actual comcast service center to go to because I know some people can only deal with them over the phone. The building is literally in the middle of nowhere and off of a bunch of tiny backroads, but it's there. Things work out so much better when I get to talk to them in person. They get to see the crazy look in my eye first hand.

That's how it is here. Optimum has central and eastern Brooklyn, but Spectrum has Downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan. I didn't notice this until I couldn't connect to Optimum's hotspots when visiting friends other parts of BK and the city.
