About how long does recovery take? My mother is facing the same operation.

They pretty well take the gallbladder out laproscopically nowadays which only leaves very small incisions...my recovery wasn't bad at all. Just a bit sore but no major pain (definitely preferable over the pains you have BEFORE you get that sucker out)
