About 30 years or so ago AD&D 2nd edition came out with hex's instead of squares and it was a lot easier to use a hexed mat with dry erase markers and figurines. Ah, the good ol' days. Still got all that stuff if you want to buy it :)
Naw, I've got that set somewhere but, never ended up doing any newer adventures, or much overland stuff and dungeon crawls were still grid, in the campaigns that we did. Thanks though And, never used a figurine.:)

Why? Are they worth money? They printed a million of those things. I'd probably give my AD&D 2nd ed. stuff away, even though they were the nicest looking of any edition, imo. I'd probably keep my Basic D&D and AD&D 1st ed. stuff because, first ed.

Not *much* money, though a few things are.

They are just fun, but I don't have the space.
