I keep telling my mom who lost a dog last week (but still has one younger one) that she should try fostering for a local organization for a little while, and maybe then she will stumble upon her next dog in the processThat's so awesome!! Actually I'm on the other end of the East Coast (Maine). Annie came to us when I was living in MA. As I remember, there is actually a good network of people/organizations who do the initial rescues and then the dogs get distributed to different no-kill shelters and rescue programs throughout the country. It almost looked like the tools were shorting out, but I doubt they were. Just VERY clunky movements, constantly running into other tools, etc.
i think y'all are gonna need a retied greyhound! hehe. Yeah i was gonna say, they do a ton of transport. The rescue I got rev from does the entire southeast and the rescue will have volunteers that transport. I actually drove 3 hours to get Rev (and again, we still go visit her foster.
