I have a teen too He says he's going to buy a big rv/trailer when he turns 18 and park it in our backyard. (Although he is disabled so that may actually happen for him to get some independence, but I don't think he'll be the one paying for it like he thinks )

I remember when I became a teen my mom said to me "We can either do this the easy way or we can do it the hard way. The choice is yours." And I also remember being 13 and thinking in my head "We're doing this the hard way!" (because teens can be assholes) I'd like to go back and slap my stupid face from about the time of 13-18.

I remember when I became a teen my mom said to me "We can either do this the easy way or we can do it the hard way. The choice is yours." I have a 15 year old and 11 year old. The 15 decided easier was better for her after a year of hard, the 11 is considering the hard way currently.

Hopefully after a few unfruitful years of the hard way the 11 year old will come around. I thought my son's hardest years were that 11-15 age range.
