I may need a new ignore button. This one has a LOT of miles on it.:)
yeah, I've been learning that the ignore button is something you want to use here if you want to keep your aggravation level down.

It's just a wildly diverse group. We weren't all brought here because of the same interest or hobby, like most forums. So, you're bound to find people that just aren't your type. Not a big deal. That's what the button is there for.:)

Oh, did I not say that? That usually works. Just threaten to do something more enjoyable and you'll get 1, every time. Gotta be really serious about it.

Also, I've given her a name but, it's not polite in mixed company.

doing the following things will often result in a HIT being caught:
making an important phone call.
doing a test that needs focus.
needing 20 minutes of uninterrupted silence.
working on a hit that requires fullscreen or is time sensitive
working on a hit with inquisit
standing up to to take a break
going on a quick errand
something cooking on the stove
working on a good batch with short timers
if you just decided to quit for the day....

seems to never fail.

Ok folks--I have gotten through the 'committed effort' phase of my MTurk work today, now on to the 'several glasses of wine and background Netflix' phase!

Standard Saturday stuff. : D

All true.

I've color coded my solutions. :)

These are why I have 2 computers and 4 monitors.

This is why I got a sit/stand desk

I highly recommend investing in monitors as well. I have 3 with my current setup, could easily do with another. plus, you can always use them with your next system, whenever you get around to upgrading. screen real estate = more productivity.

Amen.
And I added a second PC to deal with Inquisit without being stuck in Inquisit. :)

My desk is actually a dining table 3' deep by 5' wide and I have two 27" 1080p displays on it that almost fill it up. I have a third matching display I could add but have no idea how to fit them all except maybe mounting the third one on the wall above the others.

That's what I'd do with it. I forgot to count my tv mounted above my PC. So, I have 5. All stuck to the wall. But, the tv is a mirror of another monitor. So, I don't know if that makes it 5 or 4.2. :)

how do you not get headaches with so many monitors. my head hurts reading it.
What do you mean? If you can read one you can read them all. lol.
Do you mean, from moving my head around. I find it's more comfortable than staying in a rigid position for 13 hours. That was giving me a headache. So I kept adding until my entire field of view was full.

Here's the lineup
Watching videos that were so small was giving me a headache. So, I added the tv. Only for videos.(It displays Hit Finder the rest f the time but, I don't look at it unless I'm across the room, since HitFinder actually lives in my upper left monitor, with it's buddy HitCatcher)

Upper right monitor is Assigned HITs, usually. Sometimes Dashboard. And Pandora in the background.
Bottom, centered, is the touchscreen where I work HITs, using the touchscreen when I need a stretch or when it's faster.

And far left is the Laptop, connected with InputDirector, for Inquisit. And when I'm not using it for Inquisit, It's where you guys live. MTC and gmail, and any other social media, or non turk stuff. So that it doesn't take processing power and memory from making money.
:D

That's how I do it. It's all mounted on a sit/stand "desk"(wall mounted arm with monitor mounts and a keyboard tray) TV on the wall above. Laptop on the little side table at my left arm. And my PC wallmount is crazy articulated. I can stand, almost anywhere in this room and swing my monitors and keyboard with me. https://www.amazon.com/Mount-Workst...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=5XAJARCK7928ER573TYD

Best $139 I ever spent.
YMMV
