Wouldn't a dead anything stink?

dead trapped mice and rats seem to have a special kind of eye watering stink. Probably because they can get themselves trapped in such small spaces and croak that the smell concentrates. Bigger animals don't tend to die in smaller spaces.

(at least that is my experience as a landlord. Rarely do we find dead larger animals. Usually mice and rats.)
