Week 4
MTC Murder Mystery Cruise

It's that time again Castaways ... I want you to dive deep into your creative recesses and pull out all the stops! Only this time ... when you come back ashore, I want to be stumped!

Each tribe must come up with their own murder mystery cruise. You will be trying to baffle two of our mystery lovers ... this week's guest judge, @Jaded and yours truly, Me!

Your mystery cruise story must fit the the criteria below and will be scored in the following categories from 1-5pts:

• Complexity & Content - did you pull us in while we were reading the material? what was the entertainment factor? what was the difficulty in solving the mystery?
  
  
• Characters - must be forum members and their character should be developed
  
  
• Presentation - should really draw us in! Are you going to do illustrations? maybe a few drawings? perhaps some graphic art? go all out!
  

WHAT YOUR MYSTERY CRUISE NEEDS:

• Each forum member needs to be developed into a character. They should each be somewhat unique. They can play a large or small role.
  
  
• One character must get murdered ~ One character must do the murdering.

• You must reveal in the story which character is murdered, but keep the murderer's identity a secret. This will be what @SweetiePuff and @Jaded will be trying to solve.
  
  
• Your story must contain at least 3 clues that point to the murderer. If your clues are vague and obscure, you may be scored lower. However, don't make them so obvious that it points right to your murderer either.
  
  
• Do NOT make it excessively long. We want to be able to read, solve and score within an hour or so.
  
  
• You must send @electrolyte a PM revealing your murderer's identity. She will be our verification liaison.
  

WHEN IS IT DUE?

Your MTC Murder Mystery Cruise must be posted in this thread by 3a EST/12 a PST (thread change) Thursday night.

One Castaway from each tribe will be responsible for this - you decide. It must be posted by this time. If it's late, points will be deducted.

If we incorrectly guess the murderer, the team will receive two extra points on their score. We will announce our guesses for each story on Friday. After we have completed all three mysteries, I will post our scores and announce the winning tribe.

The Castaways in the winning Tribe will each earn 2 pts and with runner up earning 1pt each. Only the winning Tribe this week will be eligible for a cash prize.


We're looking forward to being taken on a journey and sleuthing out the culprit in your mysterious adventure!
