I hated our room, but it might've been sticking four people in a room that small. After I get my bills caught up in gonna start saving and looking around to try others. Maybe alone next time, lol!
Yeah once you go balcony you won't go back. So worth it. I did do one Carnival booze cruise (4-day) where we had an interior room about 20 feet from the north end of the party/lido deck and that was okay, but still so claustrophobic.

Solo cruising might be tricky on some lines because they charge extra ("solo supplement") to cover the expected revenue (2+ ppl) for the room. Royal Caribbean has these nifty little studio apartment-like rooms on a few of its newer ships that are designed for solo cruising, def worth looking into those, although last time I looked they weren't cheap.

I have a friend who planned a cruise for herself and her boyfriend but then they broke up before the cruise and he was nasty and wouldn't give up his spot to a friend of hers, which is what she wanted him to do, so she just went alone and LOVED it.
Wait so he took the ticket and didn't even go?

Hmm, maybe I'll find a friend or something to go with me! Split the costs and whatnot.

Now that's you've been on one I can say that Royal > Carnival and it isn't close. Looking forward to trying the others now tho.
Royal is better for sure, but at the same time it's usually crowded as fuck. Honestly I just happy to be on a ship, and balconies rule. I'll never do a inside cabin or even a outside without a balcony ever again. Makes all the difference in the world, love sitting on the balcony getting drunk or drinking coffee.

I was eyeing one of the waiters actually. He had a sweet smile and a nice accent.
You should have gone for it. It was out at sea, so it doesn't count.

Yup. He wouldn't agree to do a name change on the ticket so her friend could go with her, instead of him.
I mean, he's also not very good at being a jerk. If he really wanted to stick it to her, he should have gone and made her even more miserable lol
