There's a few types of high-PE posters:

Some post b/c if you do good, you want to say it!
Some want to motivate/feel it's a team activity/community, still a positive reason to post.
Some want to be mentors, and mentoring improves your own game and feels good.
Some want to brag and be called out to argue.
Some, I'm convinced, are involved with forums/mTurk/RQSTRS somehow, as motivation.
Some are just plain lying.

Don't compare yourself to others, but by all means sometimes feed the trolls (a bare hook).
this is an amazing first post. welcome!!!

Please don't judge your success by anyone else. Some people post just to brag. others post to motivate, and others post just because. I always have found it a bit odd ... not like people in other areas of employment run around shouting how much their paycheck is each week :) But that's just me and I digress.

Learn all you can about turking and look into the tools available ... set your goals and do your thing! :) Everyone is here for various reasons and have individual goals. You will drive yourself mad trying to compare or even keep up with the Joneses.
Squatty @Squatty is your last name Joneses?

$25 in 6 hours on my 4th full day. I think that's okay, but reading what you guys are making has me pulling my hairs out.
The best thing you can do is research and learn as much as you can when you don't have any work.
Once you have MTurk and it's tools down pretty well. Try to learn basic coding so you can make your own scripts.
Always keep your eye out for qualifications. I try almost everything that says "qualification" on it. Sometimes it turns into a money maker, sometimes it doesn't.
Try to get your numbers up as quickly as possible. Do penny hits as long as they are safe. You get a lot more options after 5k approved hits.

When I first started I was happy with $5 a day. I still remember my first $100 day it was so exciting.

I dont know about you guys but I see it as competitive motivation. I like reading everybody's earnings on Sunday to see who made more than me and to try to figure out how to make sure I make at least that much in the future.

Reasoning_project makes me feel like if I keep doing these there's going to be a recruiting agent from the NSA showing up at my door someday.
