well, whatever it is, it doesn't work. I am being charged $150 for an item that I do not want, and none of that is part of the fictitious $25 credit I was allegedly going to receive.

Oh - I see what happened. They only cover totals up to $25. You picked an item that had a higher total and they will not split payments using the credit on it.

For anyone else doing this - the total at checkout with shipping, tax etc cannot be over $25.

I added a keyboard to my shopping cart, and it cost $20, free shipping
my cart, however, has a tv stand in it. not even on the same page - I don't even know if the music store sells tv stands.

I filled in my information.
I verified my email.
I went through the tour, and did all of the 9 steps (except place order, since that requires money to do so)

I also filled out a help request through the site, because I figure that I should be asking them, and not a forum that's based on something else entirely.

Make sure you're actually registered on their overall site, since that's what activates it. When I did mine, I had to do that before the VISA gift card showed up under "Account>Payment Methods".

Oh, and it can take a bit for the gift card to actually show up, so it could be that you just need to wait a little, too.
