who is in YOUR avatar?
Probably the greatest unknown American of the last century: Five Star General and Army Chief of Staff General George C. Marshall.

There are World War II historians who believe "... the allies may not have won WWII without George Marshall" and "He was the single most important American during WWII." [ Think about that and where we may have been--or NOT been--without him. ] The founders of both FedEX andUPS cite him as the best "manager" they've ever known, as does Peter Drucker, the founder of modern management science. He was also Secretary of State when we loaned Europe 19 billion dollars following the war to get them back on their feet (the Marshall Plan).

When he said something he was always believed--by congress or the President--because he NEVER told an untruth or shaded the truth. And he was known for "telling the truth to power." Most amazing human being I've ever come across. So far as I am concerned, it's God. Jesus Christ, then Marshall.

Do yourself a favor and read "The Ethical Leadership of George C. Marshall": http://academic.udayton.edu/RichardGhere/POL 318/Pops.pdf

When I was reading the .pdf I cited, I swear to God, I lay it down after about ten pages and said to myself, "What PLANET did this guy come from." Swear to God.
