Basically an aortic aneurysm and an iliac aneurysm. They can't do the surgery because you have to clamp off the heart and we can't do that with him, the doctor literally said, you are dangling your toes off a 5k foot cliff and have a strong wind at your back. Hubby still hasn't talked, not quite sure next move.

Wait a sec... what about clamping-off the heart? That doesn't sound right? Did the vascular surgeon say why they'd even need to do that?

Did they even indicate that he's a candidate for stents? IAA stents can be placed with local anesthesia and sedation through the thigh. I'm missing what would require clamping-off of the heart in this scenario.
