I would say that isn't great. if it regularly happens...a one off is different. But that stuff happened on and off with my ex for 4/6 years. Wasn't a good thing.

I generally feel low self esteem from being a stay at home parent. I don't necessarily want to be doing the same things my husband is doing (leadership conf at work today, conf that took us on vacation last week, mentoring/streaming tonight, making $$$, generally kicking butt and being awesome, networking successfully, adult conversations) .... But I want that busyness and purpose and forward motion. I feel like I'm in a bog of aimless creative urges and I'll never do anything worth anything or get good at the things I want to be good at and it's my fault for not trying hard enough

I feel this. I don't have any advice or anything, just wanted to let you know you aren't alone in that.

I’m completely ignorant of your situation, but I’m having a hard time wrapping my brain around that. I can’t imagine saying that to someone I care about. Maybe jokingly?

I dunno, I suppose we all have our moments.

I think someone can, but IF they do they also have issues they need to work out. I wouldn't say that is normal behavior.

I've got to remember to run decisions by other people first, lol.

I understand very much how you're feeling (as much as anyone can truly understand another person's feelings). Much love.

We had to put down the last "family" dog yesterday. My parents have invested the most energy into her, she was high maitenance diabetic and geriatric for the past three years, the last year being the worst. She was 16. I was 13 when we fostered her and kept her as a puppy. But I got the text yesterday that I needed to come help. I need to talk about it but it is trigger-y for some people so spoiler below....
she struggled in the end. We waited almost too long. Mom told me to come because she didnt eat for two days and became incredibly lethargic and wouldn't get up. When we got her to the vet she had 106 fever, and started whining and crying. The whining lasted for 15 minutes. For some reason the vet took so long getting the meds together. So long. And my mom, she can never stay past the sedative. She can't be there the last few minutes. So I stayed with her, alone, for her last minutes. I can't leave them alone then. It isn't fair. Poor sweet soul. It's better now. But also it isn't.

This spoiler is for pictures. Less trigger-y

She was beautiful, I'm so sorry. You're a good person for staying with her.

That's so hard. I'm so, so sorry. I hope this isn't weird or uncalled for, but thank you for staying with him. My mom was the same when we had to put my dog Gizmo down but I just couldn't bear to leave him there alone. It was hard as hell but ultimately I think I (and you) made the right choice.

I'm going to cry and I'm going to cry hard. Because I've let this stuff build up too long (Don't do this, let it out when you need to). I'll feel better when I wake up tomorrow

Good cry, good sleep. I feel good today. Lots of stuff has happened in my life the last three months good and bad. I felt like I could never process it all at once. Now things are moving into normalcy, which is very good.
