Researchers at the University of Maryland are recruiting participants for a paid study on diversity in writing styles around the globe. This study is approved by the internal review board (IRB) of the University of Maryland, College Park, and the IRB number of the study is 2091700-5. Our team hopes that the documents we collect will help provide some insight into how individual writing styles differ by region and document type.
You are eligible to participate in this study if you are at least 18 years of age and have written proficiency in English and/or Russian. You do not need to be from or located in the United States or be a native speaker to participate. This study is open to international participants of different nationalities living around the globe, and both native speakers and non-native (advanced) speakers are welcome and encouraged to participate. Participants in this study will be asked to author original writing samples for several different genres. Participation is entirely online, and compensation will be provided upon proper completion of study participation tasks.
