I usually do surveys. I used to make around $20 a day for a few hours of work. But since the new worker website went into effect in December, I can barely work at all. It took me a long time to figure out how to get hitscraper working again. But half of the surveys i usually do I catch by watching the hit. I mean when you click on a hit and there are no more available and you add the hit to your watchlist. Well it seems like that option is not available anymore. How am I supposed to watch hits that I have missed. I tried panda crazy and can't seem to make that work. As I understand it you need to have the requester id to add to you job list. But the requester id doesn't show up when there are no more hits available. I never used panda crazy before so i am just learning it. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not possible to grab hits that are no longer available on the new site? Or is there some other script I can use. Hitfindr doesn't seem any better than hitscraper to me.

I'm not sure if you got it or not, but there's a helper script for Panda Crazy that will add panda buttons to the "no more HITs available" page. That should make it a little easier to catch stuff that you've missed.

We're still in the post-holiday slump. Things usually don't seem to really start picking up again until at least late January-early February.

It's not just you. I'm new myself but things died at Christmas and still aren't back. Granted I'm lazy and haven't worked either. Trying to get up the motivation to learn to use MTS again. Can't figure out how to use the finder now. I assume it works and it's just smarter than me.

Today was my first almost "normal" day since Christmas. I'm back over $30 for a single day at least. That's a lot of time sitting here for not a huge payout but I have nothing else going on. I hope you've had an increase as well. Seems like things are at least picking up a bit. I had a pretty high number of surveys (like 40 I think) but a low number of them that paid more than $1. So volume is up some but average pay is down. At least on my end.

I need to find someone who can help me find some kind of batch work that isn't crazy boring or pitiful pay. I'm not trying to get rich doing this but I'd like to be more in control of when I make my money rather than being at the whim of the survey gods. At least maybe have some options. I'm too lazy to take a lot of work away from anyone lol

I have heard that this is because the new worker site redirects you a search results page when you miss the HIT. So the helper script doesn't have access to the group id that you were trying to catch. The redirects on this new site are kind of a pain, I agree.

The links on the new site look something like this:
https://worker.mturk.com/projects/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/tasks?ref=w_pl_prvw
Where the XXX... is a 30 digit string of letters and numbers that starts with 3. That is the group id that you want. You can manually add a job to Panda Crazy using the whole link, or just the group id.

If you are following a link from the forums or something, there is probably a watch button back with the original link you clicked. If you are clicking from HIT Scraper, it is probably gone. In that case, you might be able to find what you need in your browser history.

Also, I think Mturk Suite has some way of keeping the link available, so if you install MTS I think that might help.

My suggestion, diversify. You gotta find other ways to make some cash while HITs are slow. Try not to accept all those trash HITs. Aim for minimum 10c p/m. Prolific and PrizeRebel have been doing decent this month. A couple panel surveys hit for me. Some people have been having luck with other crowdsource platforms during the slow transition. It's picking up a lot though your right, I hit $95 Friday, which hadn't been the case for a month.

Keep at it, it will get better.

I know that's what I need to do. And I have done some batch work but none of it has been productive. I grabbed a couple of transcriptions and if you get one that is audible those aren't bad. I need to find a mentor. Perhaps even pay someone to tutor me a bit. My schedule is just sporadic and I'm admittedly a bit lazy at times. Right now I am able to grab my goal of $10 a day very easily too. Even with me skipping several days and sleeping in many more. I'm actually averaging more like $17-20 a day but again I take a lot of time off. So one day I make $3 and the next $40. This is just a productive way for me to kill time. I don't "need" the money but I like making it to make plans I'll never go through with. Like buying a "new" car. Or a high end OLED TV. The stuff I have now works fine and I'm a tight wad. So like most of the other accounts I've had over the years this one will end up rolled into an investment account of some sort I'm sure. Once things have settled into a "routine" around here again I will bug someone to help me a little. Even if they aren't difficult the survey's start to blend together after a while and some variety and diversification is always good.

Hey there,
When you are in hit finder click on the royal blue square with the arrow in it
then click BBcode
then go to your watcher and click add watcher
then right click and paste.
it is now in your watcher

I was wondering why on HitCatcher I can only put one hit at a time as far as a survey or ones not available. It won't let me add more than one and it says 5b. Also, JRPandacrazy not allowing me to add ones. It may just be something on my end? What do you guys use to catch hits. Thank you!
