Whatcha watching kids? Any holiday movies coming out you are excited to see?
If anyone is looking for a deeply disturbing horror movie to watch tonight, I'd recommend "We are What We Are." It is really messed up so beware. Also, if you are going to watch it, it's best to go in cold and not read about it.

I forgot to say that I watched "The Witch" on Halloween. It was super fucking creepy. Highly recommended.

BTW, it's streaming on Netflix.

Some films out or coming soon I plan to go see.

Doctor Strange from the Marvel universe has 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Arrival has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes which is unheard of! Opens tomorrow.

And of course Star Wars: Rogue One comes out 12-16-16. Oh yes I will be there!

What are you excited to see?

The trailer for Martin Scorsese’s film "Silence", which he has tried to make for 28 years, and based on the 1966 novel is finally here. Comes to theatres next month.

Muppet Christmas Carol, Maurice Sendack's The Nutcracker, Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas, and The Santa Clause get a yearly run over here.

If anyone here partakes in :weed:, I'd recommend the movie Waking Life on Netflix. It's basically a guy going around having philosophical conversations with people about different topics, and the movie has this strange, floaty rotoscope look to it. It's a real trip and something out of the ordinary and it's pretty mesmerizing to watch.

It's hard not to like A Christmas Story. Darren McGavin, who was so funny, is reason enough to like that film. Probably my favorite Christmas movie is the George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol. He was an outstanding talent (so great in everything I've ever seen him in), and the cast of this version is pretty great all-around. Of course I love things like A Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. :)

Have you ever seen a film from the '90s called Before Sunrise with Ethan Hawke? He and another character basically just talk about their perspectives on life, etc. for the whole movie. Your philosophical conversation comment made me think of it.

Before Sunrise is part of that trilogy of "romantic" movies, isn't it? I've heard very good things about it, I'm gonna try to watch it. There's something really engaging about watching two people having an interesting conversation.
