Last time I checked, I could do them every once in a while - they'd start and stall - and I had to wait to the end of the recording to input data (I was still listening, just pushing the response quickly, in case I was right - and that would stop the whole thing and I couldn't fix it).
In short, I stopped doing them entirely - no longer worth it.
