I won't be online much today or tomorrow. A little sad. I had Frank (the cat) put down last night. Whatever was wrong with him became catastrophic. He was great on Saturday (back to his old self, totally) Sunday a tiny bit slower - Monday we went back to the vet because I knew he was in trouble again. They gave him fluids and sent him home. But I had to go back w/in the hour because I knew. He couldn't stand up at all.

I have to find a spot for him and deal with that out back. The ground has frozen a bit, so it's going to be hard to find a place that will work.

I'll be fine, of course. It's not the first time I've had to deal with a cat leaving. But it will smart for a few days :(

We went back to columbus a few weeks ago for eye doctor appts. worth it for me since American Best is the only place i can find that sells me two pair for 99$. Anyway, stopped to visit with my former neighbor who was helping to care for the four street kitties we had to leave behind. one passed this year, but they are old kitties for the most part and street kitties, well fed, but still street. she gave me the ashes. she'd had midnight cremated at a local, but kind of expensive funeral home. the poor kitty got the wooden box with a plaque and a plaster of Paris footprint. he deserved it. he was ringleader in keeping a lot of stray cats from parking themselves in the neighborhood for many years. he sits now on a top bookshelf here which has become a kind of kitty memorial. for the street kitties, i usually just scattered the ashes in the area where they were born. but this one gets a place of honor right up there with Buster.

I just started doing Prolific studies, but where the heck does it show you how much it pays. Never mind, I see it now.
