looks like the images are broken :(
I was excited until I saw the images are broken. I call that feeling of excited anticipation to immediate disappointment the turk syndrome.

I saw my first Christmas commercial.

I suppose it's better than the political commercials though.
I love that scene, so great when that rain starts. brought back so many memories

Morning all! What a day. I get on my computer and the antivirus is giving me some ambiguous warnings. I bought a new computer, oh about 10 months ago, and have never done any more than turn it on. I thought this one was bogging down, but somehow I fixed it and reinstalling my entire life on a new computer seems like a waste of a day. I did a system restore on this one and meanwhile switched to the other (they are both hooked up. The other has a wireless keyboard and mouse and my monitor has a remote to switch sources). I'm going to do all of my business stuff on that one and leave this one as my Mturk computer.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

Not great...I couldn't focus very well last week. And too many kid activities on top of it....I will do better this week..Must buy Christmas presents.
I have used most of my turk money since August to buy Christmas. And I must say I am 95% done! What a relief compares to years prior.

I've been selling old comic books on Ebay to pay for Christmas.

Have to spend my afternoon scanning more things and I don't want to.
It's so fucking boring and this scanner is so slow!

You could just give the comic books as gifts! :D Cut out that middle man!

So...I'm a big dummy. I reset my email password just in case. I was on the new computer, so when I switched over to this one I wanted to log on and retrieve my mturk earnings. I keep getting invalid password and almost get myself locked out. Of course I did not write it down because I knew what it was and just changed it. I switch back over to the other computer because I knew I was logged in over there already and go to change my password again because obviously something is wrong. But it needs my old-new password before I can change it yet again. Then it hits me- the real password. I wasn't even close in remembering the new password when I was attempting to log in. I remembered a password that doesn't even exist in any form in my list of passwords. The brain just made that dude up on the fly. Getting old sucks.

That's usually what I do too. My oldest started high school this year and is on a varsity sports team, my turk $$ + my other job $$ has been going to that since August. So glad season ended Friday. Hopefully I'll be able to start saving and buying presents now.

I don't really like having 0 rejections for a whole week. Makes me feel like I didn't go all in enough and lost out on money somewhere. lol

I like that attitude. 100% error-free work is more likely to benefit the requester than the worker customer. Gotta shave back that margin somehow...
